1. Service Description

49Tax is an online tool that helps individuals generate portal-compatible ITR-1 and ITR-2 JSON files for the Indian income tax e-filing portal. Our service uses AI to extract information from your uploaded documents and assists you in preparing your tax return data.

49Tax does not file your return on your behalf. You are responsible for uploading the generated JSON file to the official income tax portal and completing the filing process yourself.

2. Not a CA or Tax Advisory Service

49Tax is a technology tool, not a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm or tax advisory service. The information and output provided by 49Tax is for assistance purposes only and does not constitute professional tax advice. You should consult a qualified tax professional for specific tax advice.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete information for ITR generation
• You are responsible for reviewing all extracted and computed values before downloading
• You are responsible for verifying the final ITR JSON on the income tax portal before submission
• You must ensure that the ITR form type (ITR-1 or ITR-2) is appropriate for your income sources
• You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose

4. Accuracy & Disclaimer

While we strive to ensure accuracy, AI-based document extraction may not always be 100% accurate. Tax computations are based on the data you provide and the rules in effect at the time of generation.

49Tax is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the generated ITR JSON will be accepted by the income tax portal without modifications, or that all tax-saving opportunities have been identified.

5. Payment Terms

• Payment is required before downloading the generated ITR JSON file
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes
• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay
• Once the JSON file has been downloaded, the service is considered delivered

6. Intellectual Property

The 49Tax name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. The ITR JSON file generated for you is your property and may be used freely for filing your tax return.

7. Data Handling

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. All session data is automatically deleted after 7 days.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 49Tax shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to penalties, interest, or losses resulting from incorrect tax filings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
